Huawei Ascend Mate 7 – Quick Review

We’ve seen, majority of people who’re planning to get a new high end Smartphone must have either narrowed their bet to either Apple iPhone 6 Plus or Samsung Galaxy Note 4. This is because these brands are known for their quality assurance and also due to always trending gadgets in media.

But if you have limited your search between both these brands, then think one more time as there are many other options available for you to get much advanced smartphone in your hand. In the last quarter of 2014, Huawei launched their smartphone “Huawei Ascend Mate 7” against these well known brands.

Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is a six inched smartphone having 1.3 GHz Qualcomm Processor. It is operating on Android 4.4 out of the box with 2GB of RAM to handle as many apps on it. Coming to the storage capacity, this smartphone comes with 16GB internal storage which can be expanded to 32GB via microSD card. 5 megapixel front camera and 13 megapixel of rear camera is provided for shutterbug lovers.

The best feature is its fingerprint sensor located just below the rear camera which I guess is a perfect location for it and much more comfortable rather than having it near the home button on the display. The sensor works by just putting your finger on sensor pad and that’s it to register. The thing that makes this sensor useful is that you can lock and unlock your display by using it which is best method to secure your smartphone.

You should be thankful for its sensing technology which is just as simple as iPhone. Also, it is much better than Samsung Galaxy models in which you have to swipe your finger. Just above this sensor, there is camera having a metallic rim covered on it to protect lens from getting damaged.

Its rear panel is covered with aluminium panel and is extended to its sides and the screen is protected with small plastic rim. And guess what? When the white front body combines with the rear aluminium, it gives a classy look to the device. This six inched large screen when fitted with the bezels, it becomes larger enough to cover up both Apple iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and thus it will give supremacy against these phones.

However, the only drawback is its width and it will probably give you uncomfortable grip. Fortunately it is not wide as Samsung Galaxy Note Edge but then also reaching to the extreme corners during specific operations will not be so smooth, but again that’s the question of getting equipped with handset.

Due to this skillful construction of aluminium unibody of Ascend Mate 7 you won’t get a removable rear cover. So, in case you want good configuration device within budget, Ascend Mate 7 will be the best bet you can make.
